American Explorers

We invite nonprofit organizations to utilize the American Explorers Montana Basecamp and Challenge Course for youth-based, outdoor leadership, and natural resource conservation programs. The Basecamp and Challenge Course are available to regional nonprofits free of charge as part of our ongoing commitment to promote positive change in peoples’ lives and build and enhance the communities in which they live.

In exchange for use of the facilities we ask a few things from our non-profit partners:

  1. Organizational Liability and Insurance -- A certificate of insurance demonstrating General Liability coverage and Workers Compensation & Employers Liability coverage.

Prior to your arrival: please email the following two items to email below ensuring coverage dates overlap with use:

    • Copy of organization’s Certificate of Insurance (minimum $1,000,000 per occurrence/$2,000,000 aggregate), naming “Mountain Sky Guest Ranch, LLC” and “The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation” as additional insured.
    • Copy of organization’s Workers Compensation & Employees Liability coverage.
  2. Deposit
    • An invoice will be sent by our staff once you have confirmed your dates with our staff.
    • Once you have used the facilities our staff will send your deposit back.
    • If cancelations happen within a month of the booking the deposit will be forfeit, please see attached policy document for greater detail.
  3. Entity Waiver

This document is meant to be filled out and sent in prior to use (via email or snail mail), by an authorized person in the participating Entity.

  4. Individual Participant Waivers

All participants are required to read and sign our Acknowledgment of Risk and Release/Waiver of Liability for use of the Basecamp and Challenge Course. Please have hard copies of waivers signed and ready to be submitted on arrival. (please note: participants under 18 need a parent/guardian’s signature and acknowledgement of the document)

  5. Please Share your experience with us and others!

Last but certainly most important, we want to hear about your experience. The stories you share will help keep this resource available for those to come! So send us an email, tag us on Facebook (yes, we share a page with Mountain Sky Guest Ranch Fund), and/or fill out this brief questionnaire.

    Thank you!
